I am now working on a 1910 Kimball foot-pump player piano with bellows
glued to the underside of the keybed and the sides of the piano (pumps,
reserve, sustain, soft bass, soft treble, cut-offs, governor).
Art Reblitz's book warns of glued-on pumps on these early Kimball
players, making them "very difficult" to restore.
I would appreciate any words of advice or sympathy from anyone who has
successfully mastered this beast. I am hoping it may be possible to
break these off and reattach them with screws.
