Wurlitzer Apollo Reproducing Piano Vacuum Pump
By Dave Krall

I'm curious as to what type of pump Wurlitzer used in their upright
Apollo reproducing pianos. Were they of Wurlitzer's own manufacture or
did they come from Amphion or some other supplier? I assume they were
of the standard belt-driven 4-stage rotary style that we see in Welte
Licensee and Ampico uprights.

Does anyone have one of these pumps or a piano with one in it? I would
like to see a picture of it.

Thanks!

Dave Krall
