Folks, We have been having horrible problems with Sheraton
Reservations as to AMICA's room block for our 2012 Convention
in Pittsburgh (July 11-15) at the Sheraton Station Square.
Apparently Sheraton Reservations has told numerous people (about
a dozen that I know about as of right now) that our room block is
full, when it is not.
We think the problem is now straightened out, but if anyone has not
wanted to come to the convention due to not being able to get a hotel
room, you may still register; just send me an email and I'll hold your
spot as to the convention registration (please follow with actual
registration and $$ soon), and then call the hotel at 1-412-261-2000
to reserve your room at the convention rate of $119 per night.
** If you're having trouble with the hotel reservations department,
please let me know and I'll get that straightened out for you. **
Again, the Convention is open to any current member of AMICA,
MBSI, COAA and PPG. It is shaping up to be a blast, with the most
comprehensive hospitality room of any convention we've ever had (four
reproducing / player pianos, plus nickelodeons, a Weber Unika and
more)! Dave Wasson is bringing "Trudy" for us following Friday's
concert with the amazing Dave Wickerham. Riverboat Dinner Cruise!
Another amazing Bob Berkman performance! Pittsburgh heritage
destinations and a rare Welte Cottage Orchestrion in its original
installation at the mansion of Pittsburgh industrialist Henry Clay
Frick.
We already have a critical mass for success, but more folks would
mean more fun. Check out the full itinerary at

Thanks,
Tim Baxter - AMICA President and 2012 Convention Chair
