Hi all, I'm hoping someone out there can help me with this odd-ball
question. The keyslip controls on this Baldwin Manualo are, from left
to right (this is from memory, as the piano isn't close) three buttons
(Sustain, Soft Bass, Soft Treble), the flip-up Tempo lever (fixed by
help from y'all), and then two buttons on a rocker tied together --
when one goes down, the other goes up. They are not connected to
anything right now, and there is a hole in the keybed behind them, so
I'm guessing they did something "up there."
On this model, opening the pedal door locks the keys (there's no way to
accompany the roll!), so what could these buttons do? I haven't lifted
the keys out to check, yet, was hoping y'all could tell me so I would
appear knowledgeable when I go back this Friday to finish up what I
didn't have time to do last time.
Of course, there are no labels on any of the controls; were there brass
nameplates originally? I didn't notice any empty nail holes.
Thanks in advance!
