Replicating "Standard" Fancy "S" Pedal Mats
By Don Schank

There are two suggestions that come to mind to make duplicates of
the Standard S Pedal Mats which would be quite less expensive than
a $10,000 die. If the original part is solid with a reproducible
surface, a tin based silicone could be poured to make a mold. The
part could then be cast using a high shore hardness castable urethane
tinted to the color desired. Smooth On brand products are a good
source for this material and it's quite easy to use.

Another suggestion would be to contact a rapid prototype company who
could scan the original part and using a 3D printer make a duplicate
part. Printed parts can be made of many materials from plastics to
some metals.

Hope this helps.
