FS: Player Pianos & Rolls in Bronx, New York
By Dale F. Rowe

To Any and All Interested Parties, Subdued Greetings from The Bronx.

I have lost my lease on a storefront that I have been renting for
almost 35 years. I need to divest myself of almost everything, as
I have to be out of the premises by the end of this month (May).

I need to re-box 1000s of music rolls in order to transport them safely
and securely, as the cartons they were initially packed in have dried
out and have become brittle and unstable.

I have various player actions available for the taking, including
Ampico and Duo-Art. There are also player reed organ components,
including an entire Aeolian Orchestrelle that had been disassembled to
remove from a basement, plus boxes of loose reeds. I would rather see
someone who could use these things take them instead of tossing them
into a dumpster.

There is also an upright Hardman player (not the recent plastic valve
variety), an upright with a Simplex action, an Aeolian Duo-Art grand,
a Haines Bros. A/B Ampico, a Majestic (Lyon & Healy) upright Welte,
and a Tom Thumb Recordo. I need to have these moved, or purchased if
someone is willing to give me a fair offer.

I also have several other players available (uprights & grands) that
are in storage elsewhere. There are also two windup Victrolas; I can
not recall at this time who the manufacturers are.

There are also pipe chests that came from an Aeolian Residence Organ
(Echo Division). The majority of the pipework that came with it has
already been moved (but it might still be available). There is also
a working Estey reed organ, Chapel Model (non-player).

I had initially planned to start working on my own pianos after I had
retired but, four months before my planned retirement, I sustained an
injury on the job in September, 2010, and a year later, September 2011,
I had spine surgery from which I almost didn't survive. At the present
date I am still unable to lift anything heavy, and am still receiving
therapy.

What further complicates my predicament is that I am presently caring
for my mother who will be turning 93 on the 17th of next month (June).

Please help, I am desperate! Thank-you!

With the Utmost Sincerity,
Dale F. Rowe
