Bonhams Mechanical Music Auction 3 May 2012
By Laurence Fisher

The second of the four mechanical music sales, and the first of two
fine sales for this year, will be held at the London Knightsbridge
rooms of Bonhams on 3rd May, 2012. A quick overview includes a
Grand-Format, five overture boxes, a triple 24-1/2-inch Polyphon, a
double 24-1/2-inch Polyphon, various singing birds in both boxes and
cages, automata, a collection of early musical snuffboxes to include
F. Nicole, Bordier, Capt and Lecoultre, pre-1939 televisions and
early talking machines. Here is the link to the on-line version of
the catalog: http://www.bonhams.com/auctions/19798/

To order a paperback version (much better), please call +44 (0) 1666
502 200 quoting catalog reference number 19798.

We saw a record number of non-UK viewers at the last sale in November;
let's see if we can bid that this time, with the viewing starting on
Sunday 29th April at 11:00 a.m. I look very much forward to seeing you
at the viewing and sale, with members of all mechanical music societies
always shown a very warm welcome, not forgetting new faces who share
the same interest.

I can be contacted directly on: +44 (0) 20 7393 3984 or email
