I'm older than I'd planned on ever being, quite by accident, I believe,
but here I am suddenly without a lot of time left and a lot of things
I accumulated that no one near me cares about in the least. There is
still time to relieve my heirs of a great deal of what they might
consider "stuff." Of possible interest to members of MMD might be my
ginormous pile of "Carousel News & Trader" publications dating back to
about 1987 or so. I'm not sure of the start date, but the collection
also includes the very latest issues, not even out of its plastic
covers, because somehow I just kept subscribing without even looking
at them.
Some are very worn. I did utilize them a lot when I was into carving
carousel animals for various friends and copying the styles and
decorations, but most are in like-new condition. I think they are
all there, but won't guarantee this. I could have lost one or two,
but I doubt it. They are only vaguely in order, and I'm not about to
go through them and put them in order. But I would be happy to donate
them to anyone who might be interested. There are of course, a lot of
articles in them on band organs, calliopes, and such that I wasn't as
interested in as I was in the figure carvings themselves, which is why
I thought of the MMD as a likely place to find a home for them.
As Robbie says -- Cheers!!
