I have been working for the past 12 years to complete the rollography
for Violano rolls. I am down to fewer than 190 rolls of the 3121 made
that I have no information for. Nearly half of the unknown rolls are
2500 and up, which is in a range that is higher than any catalogs that
have been found so far.
It is possible that the information for these rolls was only found in
the monthly flyers that were published in the later years or on the
rolls themselves. So far, I have obtained copies of the following
Violano roll catalogs: 1912, editions 3, 4?, 8, 9, 10 and 12, flyers
for 7/1928, 8/1928 and 11/1930, and an undated drum attachment flyer.
Because many of these unknown rolls with numbers less than 2500 fall
in ranges covered by one or more of the existing roll catalogs, it
is possible that the company never issued rolls with these numbers
(although finding catalog 6 or 7 might cover the unknowns between 1700
and 1800).
Below is a list of the rolls for which I have no information in the
database:

Please check to see if you have any of the following in your
collections:
1) Any of the rolls above for which I would like to have an image
of the roll label
2) Any roll catalog or monthly roll flyer that I do not already have.
About a year ago, I was able to add nearly 1000 rolls to the
database when the catalog that is possibly number 4 or 5 turned up.
I am hoping that MMD readers can help me to finish up this long term
project (worked on forty or so years ago by Art Reblitz and Chuck
Pfeiffer) now that I am so close to completing it.
Thank you for your help.
