Hi All, I just bought a little Piano Lodeon and ten rolls locally
for $70. I am curious to know if that is a good price. It still
actually works!
When a roll is played, the vacuum pump (like a vacuum cleaner) makes
a lot of noise, which I find objectionable, but I suppose that is
typical of how it works. Also, the sound level of the notes when
played by a roll is not real loud. Is that typical or is it beginning
to fail?
There are no missing notes so whatever is taking place is consistent
for the whole instrument. I understand that the mechanism is all
plastic and that any repairs are difficult, if even possible. Any
information about this cute little machine would be appreciated.
