A friend and I are in the process of acquiring a book punching machine
(manual) and we are looking at obtaining software to print MIDI files
so that this can then be printed out and stapled to the card board so
that a MIDI file can be transferred to play book music operating organs.
Any recommendations of types of software, cost, suppliers would be
helpful. We are not looking for an "all singing dancing" programme
as we will be producing music up to only approximately 54 key/keyless.
Kind regards,

[ I use a printing program named "Template" that Jody Kravitz created
[ in 1995-97. The program accepts input from a MIDI file and outputs
[ print commands to an Epson-compatible dot matrix printer. Presently
[ I am printing 12-inch-wide book music stencils on continuous feed
[ computer printer paper ("Z-fold") 14-7/8" x 11". It's described at
[ http://www.mmdigest.com/Archives/Digests/199604/1996.04.10.12.html
[
[ A similar program by Piet Paardekam is called "Midiboek", see
[ http://www.mmdigest.com/Archives/Authors/Aut2237.html and

[
[ Another similar program called "Mid2Car", by Lionel Van Aertryck,
[ is at http://membres.multimania.fr/mid2car/US_mid2car.html
