Unknown Brass Cylinder Music Box Plays 32 Reeds
By Brian Chesters

Hi Fredy, About 20 years ago, I met a collector in Northampton
(England) called Mr. Gunn. He lived in a large old house and had
a lovely collection of mechanical music.

He had this box you mention, or a similar one, and it played very well.
It was a long time ago but I recall there were two spring barrels, one
for the organ and one to turn the cylinder. It was the style of a box
from 1830. I can't remember if there was a tune sheet.

I have never seen another in all these years. Mr. Gunn died about 10
or more years ago and I don't know what happened to his collection.
