Sharing Automatic Musical Instruments Throughout The Year
Fellow MMDers: For more than thirty years our family has been able
to share with our New Braunfels community our Wurlitzer military
band organ and, most recently, our newly acquired calliope mounted
on a Model T Ford. Our main focus is providing musical enjoyment
for nursing homes, retirement centers, adult care facilities, etc.
It has become a rewarding musical ministry. Additionally, we share
these instruments with schools, community events and local parades.
It is an annual tradition for our family to host a "Sounds of
Christmas" concert on our front yard on the third Friday evening of
December. This year is our 31st annual event. We play our rolls of
Christmas music and a few of our favorite custom arrangements.
If you happen to be in the San Antonio/Austin area this coming March
the 10th, consider being with us for a 1920's "Carousel Dinner & Dance
Extravaganza" supporting our Comal County senior citizens and their
various programs. For this event you will be dancing to "The Happiest
Music on Earth" as played on our band organ! (If interested, please
do call me as soon as possible to reserve tickets.)
Have a Merry Christmas and Blessed New Year!
