Ebonizing and Gilding a Facade
By Craig Wiley

I'm planning to restore the facade of a circa 1895 Frati barrel
organ to its original black and gold finish, much like the 1893
North Tonawanda organ featured on YouTube by "railnwings".
My questions:

- Does anyone know of this North Tonawanda organ and its owner
"railnwings"? I'd like to contact him/her to ask specific
questions about the finishes used in the restoration.

- Does anyone know the whereabouts of German organs from the same
period, with a similar finish, that I could examine for reference?

Thanks!

[ The North Tonawanda organ now plays Style 125 music rolls.
