Zephyr Skin for Singing Bird Box Bellows
By Ray Bates

[ Ref. Tony Ciuffini in 111118 MMDigest ]

Tony, Thank you for sharing your expertise and confirming that zephyr
skin works without further treatment. In all the years I've been
working on these little mechanisms, this is the first time I've needed
to re-cover any bellows. I have now done a couple of test coverings
and found that my problem has been a sticky outlet valve.

Once I re-re-cover, I'll be able to report back on the effectiveness of
the zephyr skin. Re-covering in steps as you suggest offers the chance
to test the air tightness of each segment and that's the way I'll go.

Thanks again!
