Wurlitzer Band Organ Arrangements
By Wallace Venable

David Kelzenberg said, "I have come to the conclusion that for
whatever reason the style 125 arrangements are often the most
interesting. ... Has anyone else noticed this? "

I have transposed quite a number of the MIDI files on the player
piano roll scan site from the 125 and 150 scales to the Carl Frei
20-note scale. I noticed that overall I have been happier with the
125 tunes, and have used more of them, although I had not made a
head-to-head comparison study. There seem to be many more "classics"
in the 125 list which are still worth playing, and more "short-term
hits" in the 150 list worthy of being forgotten.
