FS: Leo Podolsky CD "A Program for AMICA"
By Dorothy Bromage

For sale: AMICA Honorary Member Leo Podolsky plays "A Program for
AMICA." This piano recording includes comments of the artist. The
audio tape was created at the same time as the ten Ampico rolls in
1984. See the MMDigest of April 17, 2010, for a description of the
project's beginning.

I have finally been able to transfer the 51-minute program from an
audio cassette to a CD. Anyone may have a copy of the CD for $3.00.
Contents of the CD are as follows:

"A LITTLE BIT OF VIENNA"
 1. Six Waltzes - Schubert
 2. Graceful Ballerina - Scher
 3. Dreaming of Old Vienna - Scher
 4. In Old Vienna - Gillock
 5. Portrait of Paris - Gillock
 6. Columbine is Sad - Rowley
 7. Waltz, Opus 2 - Levitsky
 8. A Bit of Vienna - Sklarevsky
 9. Alt Wien - Godowsky
10. Paradox Voices - Godowsky

"THE SERIOUS SIDE OF LIFE"
 1. Prelude (Grief) - Heller
 2. As Mother at Night, Sang to Her Sick Child - Suk
 3. Scottish Legend - Beach
 4. Celtic Melody - Andrews
 5. Intermezzo, Opus 45, No. 1 - Reger
 6. Prelude in B Minor, Opus 32 - Rachmaninoff
 7. Fairy Tale - Kortchmaroff
