Jeff Adkins sent me a good jpeg image of the tune sheet in his music
box. Unfortunately it is one of the unidentified tune sheets shown
in Bulleid as "Isle Rousseau" tune sheets. Bulleid pictures four
variations of that design (his numbers 140-143). Jeff's tune sheet
is the 143 version.
His tune sheet is a bit frayed around the edges, so he wondered about
getting a replacement. I recommended that he contact Nancy Fratti
(musicbox@frontiernet.net.geentroep), who sells copies of some tune
sheets. He did that, but Nancy didn't have the Isle Rousseau tune
sheet.
The latest identifiable tune of the eight on his cylinder is the
mazurka from Carl Millöcker's "Der Bettlerstudent," composed in 1882.
I could find no date for Eduard Strauss' waltz "Verdict," but the other
six tunes date from 1829 to 1875.
So I wasn't the help to Jeff that I thought I might be.
