Building a Bottle Organ
By Phil Dayson

I would like to thank Robbie for his suggestion to look at transverse
blown piccolo pipes [110915 MMDigest]; this was exactly the hint I
needed. There are at least three very good articles that I found on the
Internet giving construction details of a piccolo pipe activator/nozzle.
I have already built a crude prototype based on those designs and it
seems to work as desired.

One of the advantages of the bottle organ/piccolo pipes is that unlike
regular organ pipes, pressure variation has apparently little effect on
the tuning but only on the sound volume.

If I actually build this organ I will post pictures to MMD.
