Greetings all, I just finished doing a little work on one of those
small barrel pianos made in Spain, so I thought I would archive some
of the particulars of this instrument. The label of this one says
"Enrique Salva, Barcelona". The serial number is 467. The case is
24" high x 22" wide x 12" deep. It came with only one barrel. The
6 songs on Program #2 are
Sobre las Olas Vals
Madrid Schotis
El Negro Zumbon Baiao
Mi Buenos Aires querido Tango
Se llama Rosa Pasodoble
Sombrero en mano Pasodoble
The barrel length is approximately 16", excluding the crown gear.
I estimate the barrel diameter at 4 or 5 inches. It plays 36 keys:
32 for the piano, 2 for the wood block and 2 for the triangle.
While it is pretty simple to work on, and the tone of the instrument
leaves a lot to be desired, it reminds me of the Chein PianoLodeon --
but this one needs you to turn the crank! It is exactly the same as
the one on the YouTube video at

Cheers,
John McClelland
[ The manufacturer was Vicente Llinares of Barcelona, Spain, who is
[ known for the "Faventia" barrel piano. The brand name "Enrique
[ Salva" or "Enrique Salvá Mané" seems to be used on a cheaper
