Greetings courageous mechanical music adventurers: I am wanting to
build a "steamboat" pump for my "coffee table" player pianos, from
scratch! What I would like to do is to make the quiet vacuum supply
module relatively the dimensions of an old one, complete with the
cabinet box they are usually in. Can any of you out there supply the
length and width of one of the six bellows and the dimensions of the
cabinet they are housed in. I have eccentric lobes left over from some
"Gast oil-less" compressors I disassembled. Although I have a few
pictures of these unique "steam boat pumps", any additional dimensions
and even pictures of the insides of how the bellows are attached to
their center manifold I will make up drawings to freely share so others
can make there own copy of these, the quietest vacuum source around.
I will gratefully appreciate any help you can give. Thank You.
