From the opposite end of the age spectrum I would like to support
Erik York's proposal to establish an MMD Forum, not to replace but
to run in parallel with the existing mode of operation.  I write as
a member of MBSGB who was very excited when that society introduced
a forum, and I tried to use and support it, and I am very disappointed
that MBSGB has now closed it down, rather than trying energetically
to encourage its use.

Another point is that it seems a pity that contributions to MMD are
currently so narrowly focused, largely on mechanical organs, pianolas,
and the like.  It would be encouraging to some of us if there were
more contributions on such things as cylinder and disc musical boxes,
automata, musical clocks, etc.
