Steve Harty, Carousel Organ Fan
By Joshua Rapier

Steve Harty's obituary can be seen at
http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/pe/obituary.aspx?pid=145608988

It appears his collection was sent to auction in Las Vegas at the
Victorian Casino Antique Auction, and from their listing some pieces
were sold in the March 2011 auction.

I met Steve after he purchased a Wurlitzer 146A organ from a friend and
we delivered it to his home in Corona, California. He then acquired
and set up in his office a Stinson band organ that played Style 165
music. He also purchased a Reproduco from a local collector and had it
set up in his house. Some time later he bought at auction a Seeburg KT
with flute pipes.

He had many jukeboxes and other collectibles and had only recently got
into collecting mechanical music machines. I found out about his
passing only after a friend noticed some items in an auction flier that
were in his collection. An Internet search found the obituary.
