Separating Cremona Piano Case

Here's one way to coax the side off an upright piano. I usually use
a combination of dull putty knives along with wedges to split the old
glue joint. I've removed the sides from at least two dozen uprights
with great success.

This Seeburg G side would not budge so the technician who replaced the
board came up with this solution [a small hydraulic jack on its side
to apply pressure]. The piano was completed last year. All went well.
