Popularizing the Player Piano
By Greg Filardo

Hi! I just took a working player piano over to the church that
I belong to. This Sunday it will "premiere" following the church
service at our 4th of July Ice Cream Social. We are planning to
teach children how to read better (using the word rolls) and to offer
performance opportunities (singing along) as well as to teach the
kids how to play the piano with their fingers as well as their feet.

This is a program that will be open to the general community. If you
are interested I will let you know how it progresses. Several pianos
that would have otherwise gone to the dump have already found homes.
Who knows -- we might even get kids involved in restoring them!
