Player Piano System Date

The piano may have been sent back to the factory some years after
the original sale to be updated and/or repaired with a newer player
mechanism.  There are other possibilities, but in my opinion the
most likely scenario is simply that you were given the wrong date
of manufacture.  The on-line services probably all rely on the same
source, Pierce's Piano Atlas, which is itself not 100% accurate.
