Dear MMDers, Last weekend the Musical Museum in Brentford, London,
held a very interesting Pianola Day. Attendees were shown the
various different mechanisms in detail and guest speakers added to
the event with different presentations. A sort of master class in
Pianola playing was also undertaken, giving participants an insight
into various facets of the instrument and its operations.
It was first event of this kind and breadth to my knowledge held in
the UK -- at least within living memory! All credit and praise then
for the day to the museum, Richard Cole (curator) and Michael Broadway
