Dynavoice & Pacific Piano Supply

Ron, You might contact Tom Lear. He has rebuilt a Dynavoice keytop
player and converted it into a Pianocorder and it is quite impressive.
A note on the Dynavoice -- when I was 16 (or so) I was working at
Maher Music Company in Santa Monica and I saw them new at Pacific Piano
Supply in North Hollywood (now located in Chatsworth). These were new
machines at the time and surrounded with every sort of beautifully
restored player and reproducing pianos.
The owner of Pacific Piano Supply was (and still is) Don Morton;
he must be close to 100 now. I just bought some piano parts from his
son who is running the business now. Don was there. If anyone is in
doubt, music and preserving it will eventually lead to longevity (my
opinion). I am now 66 and forever loving player piano music and their
human parts and I still feel like I am 16. :)
