The cost of international mail has increased so much that the cost
of membership for international members has skyrocketed. I am
returning to the USA next month and will rejoin my societies, but
I had to discontinue memberships when the cost of international mailing
increased to more than double that of members living in the USA.
With the advent of Internet and e-mail, it might be worthwhile to
consider the possibility of non-printed journals, as an option, at
a reduced cost for members. This would be cost effective for the
societies and make it more economical for members for whom the cost
is an issue.
