In the chick-flick movie, "Break of Heart," there is a serious
scene where the man has fallen into an alcoholic depression and
the woman is there to rescue him. The opening scene is set using
a National player piano.
The camera dwells on the piano for plenty of time to study it.
Curiously, the bar has a stage where there is a grand piano. The
National is probably intended to indicate how far the man has
fallen. The movie was made during the mid 1930s.
