Early Wurlitzer Ratchet Wheel Snare Drum Action
By Steve Grattan

Hi everyone: I have a customer with the very first Wurlitzer 125 band
organ ever made. The leather drive wheels on the ratchet wheel snare
drum beater are slipping. What can be done to make them not so smooth
and make the mechanism work again? Is there some sort of leather
dressing, or light sanding? Thank you!

[ "It was 100% non-pneumatic, except of course for the small pneumatic
[ motor that brought the belt-driven ratchet wheel into play to fling
[ the drum beaters against the drum head." -- Editor (Robbie)
