Nickelodeons on TV Shows
By Don Teach

In the opening of "Here Comes the Brides", I remember a Seeburg D
keyboard model that was never played. The Smothers Brothers used
a Seeburg C playing to open their show one season during a musician
strike, with a roll playing their theme song.

The first season of "Cheers" had a real nickelodeon (a Wurlitzer I
or D) that was replaced with ragtime model. I do not remember one
on the "Wild Wild West" TV show.

I would venture to say that at one time when you visited a Wild West
theme park they had nickelodeons. In the movies -- well, I can't
say I have seen but a couple.
