Player Pianos in the Old West Myth

While I can't quote any titles off the top of my head, I have
definitely seen enough old movies, although not all of them cowboy
movies, with player pianos in them, to support the fact that they
are no myth. You don't always see the spool box, or even the piano,
but the sound of a player piano is unmistakable.

I have to admit to being a big movie fan, especially black and white
and silent films. The first time I had a satellite dish I had two VCRs
which I programmed twice a day to record movies while I was out or
asleep. If you have Turner Classic Movies, and watch for old westerns,
you will see them. And if you don't, you won't.

[ True, the sound is often heard, but I'm dubious about the piano,
[ Lee. Please tell us when you discover an old Western movie in
[ which a foot-powered player piano is visible and being played. ;-)
