Jeff Adkins wants arrangements of music from discs that look like round
lace! Just kidding, Jeff -- I understand exactly what you mean. The
same holds true for player rolls; I recently discussed a 58- or 65-note
roll I had of "The Flying Dutchman" -- whew!
I suggest you seek Regina 'test discs'. There were several which were
arranged to make great use of all the teeth on the comb. The prime one
which comes to mind is "A Nest of Finches" written by one of the Regina
tuners, M. Chaillet, and used in the factory and Regina sales rooms
for test purposes and to show off the machines.
One warning -- there were actual Regina test discs, available not for
the public but to dealers and repair people, that are essentially just
a full run from the lowest bass to highest notes on the combs for
specific machines. They pop up occasionally, but while they're an
interesting rarity I don't think this is what Jeff wants.
You might check for a beautiful Regina Changer now for sale on eBay
(not from me) where the buyer lists two of the discs as by Chaillet.
I found this by simply Googling Chaillet. You can make a note of the
Regina numbers and then try to shop around for them. Or make it easier
on yourself - just buy the changer with its full complement. Only
$25,000 plus freight -- that's about 12 times what I paid for my Corona
about 50 years ago. See what ethanol does?!
