Unknown Player System in German Player Piano
By Skip Klosz

I can't help much on the player system [110422 MMDigest], but might be
able to point you to another area for research.

Franz and Ignaz Breite were piano dealers/builders in Tetschen back in
1914. Tetschen is now part of Czech Republic and known now as Decin,
north of Prague, close to Dresden.
