Hello! My family frequented and played at the old Svoboda's and we
knew the family really well. I can't for the life of me remember the
old address. My cousin, Dino Perozzi, played with Al and his brother
in the band on the rotating stage through the years. My grandfather,
Dominic Bevitori, gave Grandpa Al one of the first paintings and
portraits of a black man and it hung on the wall behind the original
bar. Just curious where that may have ended up.
I remember spending New Years Eve at the bar with my family and Mr.
Al Svoboda giving us children thimbles so we could play the washboards
with the band.
