Has anyone ever attended the fair organ festival in Swalmen,
Netherlands? This seems like a wonderful event, but I haven't
been able to find any specifics as to the schedule or how the event
is staged, as there doesn't appear to be a web site. I'd love
to learn more about what should be a very entertaining weekend.
For those not familiar with the location, the nearest airport is
Düsseldorf and from there Roermond-Swalmen is easily accessible
by rail.

[ Hinzen Organ Festival, Heydweg, 6071 Swalmen, The Netherlands.
[ On March the 11th, 12th and 13th, the massive Hinzen Organfestival
[ will be held at the industrial estate at the Heydweg - Swalmen,
[ near Roermond, the Netherlands. The festival is daily from 11:00
[ A.M. until 6.00 P.M. A small entrance fee of euro 5.00 is asked to
[ cover a bit of the massive costs. This is a superb festival and not
[ to be missed by any enthusiast. Approximately 30 organs of the best
[ quality will be spread over two massive industrial buildings. Many
[ of the instruments are very rare and never play in public, which
[ makes this an unique opportunity. For this occasion, there have
[ been made three memorial CDs of different Ruth organs. The official
[ opening will be around 15:00 PM on the Saturday. Some officials from
[ the council, and all major fairground associations will be present.
[ The festival is supported by the following associations: ESU/BOVAK/NKB
