My New Web Site For Piano Roll MIDI Files
By Erik York
Hello, I've designed a new web site with piano roll MIDIs at
http://www.pianorollscans.org/ This project was created as a senior
graduation project for my college course work (web design), but
I have really wanted to design a nice way of hosting my roll MIDIs
ever since I started scanning.
Right now there are 413 rolls on the site but I plan to put up
many more as time progresses. There are about 40 MIDIs on the site
I acquired from visiting folks in the nearby area who wanted some
rolls scanned. All the rolls are pre-1923 and in the public domain.
I do offer free roll scanning services to anyone who would wish to
have some rolls archived.
I hope that, with time, this can be another free resource that folks
will use to enjoy and learn about mechanical music. It's good to know
some already have come across it and are using it. I'd welcome any
feedback either directly to my email or through the web form on the
site.
Sincerely,
Erik York
