I am in the final stages of a book dedicated to Black Forest horology.
The book will published in English and will carry the title, "Rare and
Unusual Black Forest Clocks". Schiffer Books has contracted to publish
this book in the fall of 2011, and they always put out an excellent
product.
I am posting this message as I am looking for clocks to feature in this
volume, and hope to find some additional contributors. If you have a
Black Forest clock that you would be willing to have documented in the
book please contact me. Full credit will be given in the book for all
contributions, and all photographs will be printed in full color. This
is a wonderful opportunity to get your clock published and documented
in a high quality book with worldwide distribution.
I am especially in need of photographs of musical clocks by Emilian
Wehrle, flute/organ clocks, musical clocks that play on bells or
strings, any automated clocks, and early wood wheel examples. But I
would be happy to consider anything that is quality, early, or unusual.
I am also interested in photographs of movements to any clocks listed
above. Please email me directly if you would like more information on
contributing.
Best regards,
Justin J. Miller
