MBSI Exhibit at Orlando Science Center, Florida
By Bill Hall

Wayne Finger's posting of the opening of "The World Of Mechanical
Music" exhibit at the Orlando Science Center failed to mention the
appearance on opening day of a special attraction at the outside
entrance to the facility. Southeast Chapter MBSI members Bill and
Cyndy Hall brought one of their oldest European organs -- an 80-key
Gavioli street organ that dates back to the mid 1800's and was
originally a barrel organ.

The organ named "De Drei Kransen" [The Three Wreathes] now plays book
music with special selections arranged by Arthur Prinsen that range
from Christmas music to The Beatles. Before coming to the U.S.A. in
1986 the organ played for many years on the streets of Rotterdam in
the Netherlands, and it has a rich European history. Pictures of the
organ are on the MBSI web site.
