Roll Tab Hooks on Ampico B Take-up Spool
By Randy Hayno

Hello all, here's a tip for Ampico "B" owners, that you probably
all already know but I had to discover it on my own, so here it is.

The Ampico B take-up spool has tee-shaped hooks around it for the
D-ring on the roll to automatically hook on when playing and release
when re-rolled.

I have many rolls with the QRS type of end tab with the grommet
and I had problems with them not hooking onto the take-up. Finally
I realized they are wood screws and I took a pliers and turned one of
the hooks sideways and viola, problem solved. I use that sideways
hook to play all my rolls with grommet end tabs.

I hope this helps someone; don't know why I ignored the problem for
years.

Sincerely,
Randy Hayno
