I have a Farrand Cecilian upright player piano in my family's old house
in the Detroit area. I'd like to get it out of there, and am wondering
if it is worth anything for sale, either as is or for parts.
The player mechanism no longer works; the piano itself does, but is
woefully out of tune. The ivory has delaminated from about a third of
the keys, but I believe that we have most or all of them saved.
I'd love to sell it, but if there is no market for it, I would be happy
to see it go to a good home or the parts go to someone who could put
them to good use. If I have to scrap it, I believe that I will have to
dismantle it first. Could you direct me to information that would help
me with that?
