As we are going to be the restorers of the Seeburg G case, I should
state it wasn't as empty as one might think. The art glass, however,
has a bow to the center panel which can be restored safely. As for its
internals, it contained the coin box, most of its original porcelain
light fixtures, as well as its accumulator down-counter and its
original loud/soft pneumatics.
The owner had acquired the complete innards of another Seeburg G that
went through a fire at its refinishers years ago. We will be glad to
reunite the parts to this case. The Seeburg G is one of most
collectors' definitive orchestrions. It will be worth the effort. As
for its price, a set of G glass went at auction a couple of years ago
for $7500.00. And a few Seeburg Gs have sold recently that probably
had restored or copied Seeburg parts in them.
