In response to Mike Roseboom's request for player pipe organ info,
I can provide the following:
As a volunteer, I am currently working on Aeolian Opus 1722 / Aeolian-
Skinner Opus 887-X2. This organ is 3-manual 23-ranks plus harp and
chimes. It is still in its original location in the William Raskob
mansion in Wilmington, Delaware.
Currently, although most of the organ is hand-playable on all original
relays and switch stacks, the Duo-Art player is completely inoperable,
however, still intact. The scope of the current project does not
include restoration of the player system. We will, however, preserve
it for possible future restoration. Originally the organ console also
controlled a Steinway art case Duo-Art grand piano. This instrument is
still there and intact, but also not within our current project scope.
I hope this information is helpful to you; good luck with the project.
By the way, the pipe organ data base on the Organ Historical Society's
web site is a good source for this kind of info. Visit
