Steck Duo-Art Pianola Upright for Export?
By Randolph Herr

I invite all readers to submit their opinion on the following question.
According to the three-line decal on the fallboard, the piano is a

     STECK
 'PIANOLA'-PIANO
   'DUO-ART'

Cast into the iron frame is

AEOLIAN CO NEW YORK
   MADE IN USA

At the upper right corner, marked with rubber-stamped ink on the
surface of the frame, is

  STYLE 36
  Duo-Art
  Pianola
  92453

Was this piano meant for the English market? Not only is the decal
different than on American pianos that Aeolian made, but the case style
is different as well. Does anyone out there have any information that
will help? Thanks in advance.
