Hi, Don: It is unlikely that you will find keys to fit such a case on
eBay or at a flea market or anywhere else. While this musical box was
being restored, I took the locks to a local locksmith who made keys for
them to fit the locks.
In addition to the upper door lock and the disc storage tilt-out panel
lock, there is a third lock on the lower panel under the mounted disc
that opens to access the coin drop box. The two locks (in the upper
cabinet door and on the lower panel) would be held separately by the
proprietor of the establishment in which the musical box was placed and
by the route man who owned the musical box.
The upper glass door could be opened by the proprietor to change the
tune sheet, but he could not access the coin box. The route man could
only access the coin drop box in the presence of the proprietor so that
neither one could skim coins off the other. So with both the
proprietor and the route man present, both the upper door and lower
inner panel could be unlocked and the "take" could then be split
between them.
Musically yours,
