Passing of Menno Jonker, Musical Box Collector
By Niko Wiegman

It is with sadness that I have to report the sudden death of Menno
Jonker. Menno was an enthusiastic collector of cylinder musical boxes
of the highest quality.

His working life as a tax advisor gave him the means to buy many fine
early musical boxes, but if the music played was not up to his standard
he had no problem selling them, even if it was a François Nicole rigid
notation.

Menno was a quiet collector; not many have had the privilege to see and
hear all he had collected in his Amsterdam home.
