A couple of weeks ago, I was able to make a trip through the
World Museum of Mining at Montana Tech in Butte, Montana. They have
a Seeburg H in the main building. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to
either listen much nor read the info plaques. What's the history?
I've found that it was donated to the museum by Chester Steele, of
the Anaconda Co., and that it might be the only Seeburg H on public
display. It seemed to be in good repair, albeit slightly out of tune.
If you're in the area, check out this place. It's a good couple of
hours to see the exhibits, and they even offer an underground tour.
