Many thanks to the great MMD readers who sent me great, useful
information in response to my query about what happened to the
various Paillard firms.
In addition to my interest in music box history, I owned three
Hermes typewriters (magnificent machines) and I am still trying to
find out how to obtain software for my PC with their unique typewriter
typeface called Tech Elite. It was a nice, clean modern font which
often generated comments on how nice it was from recipients of my
correspondence on numerous other subjects! I know Elite is a size
indicator; it's the Tech idea I like for this modern sans-serif font
where the round letters like o, p, b, and the like were sort of
squared-off with rounded corners.
If anyone has additional ideas I will be most grateful. Meanwhile,
best and fond regards to my many friends of 60 years or more in the
music box, Edison, sound recording, and mechanical music fields! The
hobby added immensely to my enjoyment of life and wonderful friends!
Bestus, Lee Munsick
