In connection with an article I am now writing I would like to
correspond with anyone who presently owns or has information on any
HUPFELD HELIOS orchestrions for which I have been involved in the
buying and selling over the years. These were made by Ludwig Hupfeld
A.G., of Leipzig, from 1907 into the late 1920s.
The instruments for which I have interest are those bought and sold
by me personally from the mid-1960s onward, plus any from Hathaway &
Bowers, Inc., American International Galleries, Inc., and Mekanisk
Musik Museum A/S. I have current information for some, such as from
Art Reblitz's book, "The Golden Age of Automatic Musical Instruments,"
and Terry Hathaway's web pages at http://www.mechanicalmusicpress.com/
However for certain others I am endeavoring to reconstruct pedigrees
-- listings of where they have been over the years.
Any information will be gratefully received and will be acknowledged
in the article. Thank you very much.
